What type of projects do you do?
FRED is a full-service home improvement business. From everyday updates to custom renovation and installation projects, our skilled team of consultants and craftsmen are equipped to advise on and handle virtually all of your home needs. Typical FRED projects include: bathroom renovations, kitchen updates, custom shelving and built-ins, window and door installation, home exterior restoration, insect damage repair, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical and more. See our Interior Projects and Exterior Projects pages for more information.
How long does it typically take for the work on my house to begin?
Depending on the size of the project, work will typically begin one to three weeks after the scope of work is determined.
What are your payment options?
With FRED, you can select either a fixed price contract or pay on an hourly basis. This is typically determined by the size and scope of the work. If you opt for payment on an hourly basis, you will be given a range of hours based on the work requested.
How long is a typical consultation?
For projects that require fewer than a couple of days’ work, work can typically be scheduled over the phone. One of our client services consultants will give the estimated timeframe for your project as well as an estimated budget based on an hourly rate. For more involved projects, where a home visit by one of our remodeling consultants is appropriate, consultations typically last one to two hours depending on the scope of work.
Do you provide free consultations and budgeting?
Your initial consultation is provided free of charge. A budget range will be provided as well.
